Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond locks and a lively personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has explored Italy's cuisine and culture, and the surrounding geography. Burrell was born in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her when she earned the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she states. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she gained a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. This has had a profound impact on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids who have challenges. She has been a frequent speaker at conferences and travels throughout the United States to mentor others in her role. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate to be able to be able to share her passion for cooking with the people around her.
